Hair Elements analysis provides information regarding recent and ongoing exposure to potentially toxic metals, including mercury, lead, aluminum, and arsenic, as well as minerals that are important for emotional regulation, including lithium, magnesium, iodine, copper, and zinc. Toxic elements may be 200 to 300 times more highly concentrated in hair than in blood or urine. Therefore, hair is the tissue of choice for detecting exposure to elements such as antimony, arsenic, cadmium, aluminum, lead, and mercury. This test only requires .25 grams of hair and is done at home.
